The short version
New businesses start with a free trial; no payment details are needed. We invoice each billing period; you pay the invoice, and the Billing page shows the date you are paid until.
If a payment is late, you keep full access for 7 days. After that, or when a trial ends unpaid, the account becomes read-only: nothing is deleted, everything can still be viewed and exported, and paying restores it.
Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the period you paid for.
This summary helps you read the document; it does not replace it.
1.What these terms cover
These Subscription and Billing Terms are part of your agreement with DataRestro under the Terms of Service. They explain how a business’s subscription to the Service starts, is paid for, renews and ends. Anything agreed differently in a signed order form takes precedence. Each restaurant brand in your organisation has its own subscription, shown on the Billing page of the console.
2.Free trials
A business created at sign-up starts on a free trial of the plan it selected. The trial end date is shown on the Billing page. We do not ask for payment details to start a trial, and nothing is charged during it.
If no paid subscription is in place when the trial ends, the account becomes read-only: everything stays visible and exportable, but nothing can be changed and no new orders can be taken. Your data is not deleted because a trial ended. Paying for a subscription restores full access.
3.Plans and fees
Plans differ in features and limits, such as the number of branches or staff accounts. Your plan, billing cycle (monthly or yearly) and currency are shown on the Billing page. The fee for your plan is the one stated in your order form or on the invoice we send you; we do not publish prices on our website.
If you reach a plan limit, you will not be able to add more of that item until you move to a plan that allows it. Nothing you already have is removed.
4.Invoices and payment
We do not take subscription payments inside the Service. We send an invoice for each billing period, and you pay it by the method and within the time the invoice states. When we receive payment we record it, and the Billing page shows the date your subscription is paid until.
Fees do not include taxes. Where the law requires it, we add taxes such as VAT to the invoice. You are responsible for any withholding or other taxes that apply to your payment, other than taxes on our income.
5.Renewal and late payment
A subscription continues for the next billing period when that period’s invoice is paid. If the paid-until date passes without payment:
- the subscription is marked payment overdue, and full access continues for a 7-day grace period. The Billing page shows the date the grace period ends;
- if payment is still not received when the grace period ends, the account becomes read-only, as described in section 2;
- paying the overdue invoice restores full access.
We will not delete your records because an invoice is unpaid without first giving you a chance to export them.
6.Changing plans and prices
You can ask to move to a different plan at any time; the change and any difference in fees are confirmed in writing before they apply. If we change the fee for your plan, we will tell the account owner at least 30 days before the change applies to your next billing period, and you can cancel before then.
7.Cancellation
You can cancel at any time by writing to support@datadoodlestech.com or through Support in the business console. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Until then, your access continues unchanged; after it, the account becomes read-only, and you can export your data as described in the Terms of Service.
A minimum term in a signed order form applies instead of this section where it says so.
8.Refunds
Unless your order form says otherwise, or the law requires a refund, fees already paid for a billing period are not refunded if you cancel part-way through it; you keep full access until the period ends instead.
If we end the Service, or a paid feature you rely on, for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the prepaid fees for the unused part of the period.
9.Suspension by us
Separately from non-payment, we may put a business on hold under the Terms of Service, for example for a serious breach of the Acceptable Use Policy or where the law requires it. While a business is on hold, staff cannot use it, but its data is kept and the owner can still sign in to see the reason and the Billing page. We restore access once the reason is resolved.
10.Your rights under law
DataRestro is a service for businesses. Nothing in these terms limits a right that the law where your business is established gives you and that cannot be excluded by agreement.
