Sales, food cost and profit from the orders you rang

Reports read the same records the POS writes, so there is no nightly export and no second set of numbers to reconcile.

Solid panels are available today; dashed panels are planned. All figures are sample data.

Profit after food cost and VAT

The P&L starts from revenue excluding VAT and net of refunds, then subtracts the cost of each dish sold and the expenses you recorded.

  1. 1VAT collected is not counted as revenue.
  2. 2Discounts and loyalty redemptions are reported on separate lines.
  3. 3Waste and purchases have their own reports rather than being folded into cost of goods.

Checking a total against its order

Any order can be recalculated from its stored lines and compared with the total that was saved. If a report and a receipt disagree, this shows which order to look at.

End of day in your own timezone

Reports use the restaurant’s timezone, so the trading day ends at local midnight. In Kathmandu, a report grouped by UTC would start the day at 5:45 in the morning.

The end-of-day report shows sales, tax, refunds, payment methods, expenses and each drawer’s variance. You can export it to CSV for your accountant.

Reporting questions

Where does food cost come from?
Each dish’s food cost is worked out from its recipe, at weighted-average ingredient cost, in the same units the stock ledger deducts. The P&L multiplies each dish’s cost by how many you actually sold.
Can I see one branch at a time?
Yes. Every report takes a branch filter. A side-by-side comparison dashboard is on the roadmap. For now you open each branch’s report, or export them to CSV.
Do you track labour cost?
Not yet. Labour cost needs clock-in data, and the time clock hasn’t been built yet.
Can my accountant use this?
Every report exports to CSV. Discounts and loyalty redemptions sit on separate lines, and VAT is never counted as revenue. A direct journal export to accounting software is on the roadmap.
